Both the POLINI and the MALOSSI reed valve can achieve more with the corresponding peripherals than you would think at first glance. However, a bigger carburettor can generate the required boost in performance. So that the bigger carburettor cross section can still be used an intake manifold which is big enough is required. In the SERIE PRO range we therefore offer the MRP connection pieces with a 30mm passage that match the POLINI and MALOSSI reed valve in the classic smallframe chassis. We also stock a corresponding connection piece for the MALOSSI direct intake. This is not just suitable for the older smallframe models, it is also especially good for the PK range.
We also stock a couple of very special MRP gems for the QUATTRINI M1L cylinders. For the 08 and 09 models you can decide on connection pieces with an outlet of up to 38mm and therefore push your engine tuning to the limits when it comes to your carburettor.
The original connection piece can be removed easily from the POLINI / MALOSSI and also QUATTRINI cylinders and exchanged for the bigger connection piece from the PRO SERIES. No further modifications are needed on the engine or chassis as the position of the carburettor in the frame does not change.
Conclusion: Means that together with a correspondingly sized Plug&Play carburettor the tried and tested reed valve system can achieve a high performance.
SIP-TIP: Order the matching reed valve manifold and connection rubber (e.g. part no SIP0135) at the same time!
