The Falcon Strikes Again! Another tasty tidbit from Lauro Cafforio: a high end exhaust system for his FALC cylinder. This two part exhaust has two faces: striking performance and practical features such as an o-ring gasket between elbow and exhaust body. Swiveled plug and socket connection, spring suspension body for quick removal and rubber elastic support exhaust bracket. The exhaust, like all high end race exhausts, is delivered unpainted and should be sanded and coated with temperature resistant exhaust paint.
Conclusion: well thought out high quality exhaust. For FALC cylinder only.
Material unpainted steel / aluminum muffler / left-hand
Hand welded segments, unpainted, screwed aluminum muffler, left-hand, stud bolt distance on cylinder 60mm, and distinctly larger exhaust form, which means it only fits FALC cylinder. Installation from main stand possible, fits V50/PV models. Modification on frame necessary for models with side compartment, such as ET3/PK/XL.
SIP-TiP: FALC cylinder and FALC crankcases are the best friend of this exhaust.
The present 2014 version of this exhaust has the silencer in a slanted position in front of the rear wheel. In addition Lauro could also tickle a little more performance from the system. An attractive update for all set ups including a cylinder with a larger exhaust port outlet exhaust stud spacing (60mm).
