The centrepiece of the MALOSSI internal-rotor ignition system is the CDI ignition/Digitronic ignition regulator. MALOSSI have two versions available. The first allows the ignition point to vary between 34 and 2 degrees before Top Dead Centre (TDC), according to rpm. This feature was already included with the MALOSSI internal rotor ignition unit from 2011. The other version possesses a set of pre-mapped ignition curves which can be individually adjusted to create custom ignition mappings to suit each and every requirement of your motor set up. This feature is standard to the MHR TEAM internal rotor ignition kits.
Both of these ignition component kits can be used in combination with all MALOSSI internal rotor ignition units.

Different ignition curves for two and four stroke motors, three separate adjustment parameters: (MAPS, OFFSET, LIM)
MAPS : The following settings are possible :
- 2 x mappings for four-stroke motors (positions 6 and 7)
- 5 x mappings for two-stroke motors (positions 0,2,3,4 and 5)
- 1 constant mapping of 16 degrees before TDC (position 1)
OFFSET : Enables an individual set up of each ignition curve to +/- 2° in steps of 0.5°.
LIM : Adjustable rpm limiter for the area between 11500 and 14300 rpm in steps of 200 rpm (for geared engines)
- O = 11500 rpm
- E = 14300 rpm
- F = rpm limiter inoperative
