The most powerful upgrade available for the PIAGGIO 125-200cc Leader motor, without crankshaft modification or replacement, is produced by the people at MALOSSI in the form of this 209cc, nicasil lined, aluminium cylinder. The performance increase for the 125cc motor is an impressive 40% stronger than the original and 20% for the 200cc model. The increase in torque provided by this conversion is also immediately noticeable. If your existing set up seems a little out of breath sometimes, MALOSSI can provide the steroids to make victory yours!
If even more power is required we also have a comprehensive component upgrade kit available that also includes a performance orientated camshaft and the V4 cylinder head, also produced by MALOSSI. When correctly set up this combination almost doubles the power output of the 125cc motor! This cylinder can also be used to upgrade Vespa models with fuel-injection, such as the GTS Super i.e..
Thanks to the new MALOSSI Forcemaster 2 fuel injection module it is now possible to use the 209cc cylinder with PIAGGIO i.e. engines (e.g.: Vespa 125cc GTS Super i.e). It provides four separate, pre-programmed ignition curves that can be chosen individually to match your style of riding or better serve the peripheral components in the overall set up of your motor. Every ignition and fuel-injection parameter can be independently programmed in its min / mid / max ranges by +/- 20% from the original settings. The original maximum rpm, which is normally governed by a rev limiter, is increased by 1000 rpm when the Forcemaster 2 device is used.

Aluminium cylinder with a nicasil bore lining (piston clearance 0.05mm), increased cubic capacity, compression ratio : 1:12.5, 48.6mm stroke, original exhaust and carb compatible, forged aluminium piston with a high silicium proportion for added durability, optimised gas-flow properties and improved fuel economy, fuel-injected motors require the Forcemaster 2 adjustable fuel-injection module.
SIP-TIP: We recommend that the size of the main jet, on models with a carb, be increased by 8-10%. A taller overall gear ratio is also necessary. Specially sized bushes are included for use with the 200cc PIAGGIO Leader motor to fit the conversion cylinder properly in combination with the OE cylinder head. An upgrade with MALOSSI Digitronic raises the available revs on carb models by 1000 rpm. The original spark plug grade can be retained although we recommend the use of the NGK CR9EB item. To allow this 209cc cylinder to be combined with the MALOSSI V4 cylinder head the special MALOSSI piston (#M3414086), with enlarged valve recesses, is also necessary. The cylinder kits with cylinder head already includes this piston.
