The swing-arm of the motor connects it to the rest of the scooters frame. The length and angle of the swing-arm have a direct influence on the overall handling of the scooter. With the introduction of their all-new 'Gorilla arm', MALOSSI have launched a revolution in suspension set up possibilities. An adjustable swing-arm, previously only seen on high-end, dedicated race motorcycles.
The inspiration for the patented 'Gorilla arm' technology comes from the extensive experience MALOSSI have gained on the race circuits of this world and has already seen successful service on scooters competing in the MALOSSI CUP race series. The adjustability of this swing-arm assembly enables the scooter into which it is integrated to be perfectly set up, ready for the needs of each and every type of circuit layout. As well as this items advantage of stiffening the rear suspension, the overall wheelbase of the scooter can be changed by up to 25.5mm (just over an inch) and the angle of the swing-arm by up to 20°. The 'U' profile enables the employment of a more efficient exhaust shape while also allowing the motors removal, independent of the exhaust system.
