Boost Bottle DOPPLER

If the revs on previously connected disc valves or reed valves and fully opened carburettors differ so widely that the optimum fill is not reached the Boost Bottle (intake chamber) the 'unused' stream of gas offers a welcome volume into which it can alternatively flow. At the same time, the flow energy is broken down and the gas does not flow back into the carburettor where it can be enriched with fuel all over again. If a stroke movement then occurs in the TDC direction (meaning the intake opens again) a negative pressure occurs and the gas mix from the Boost Bottle flows into the housing together with the fresh mix. This means that the Boost Bottle creates an additional volume to create more torque at low revs without losses in the areas of peak performance.


A Boost Bottle is especially interesting when used in combination with a larger carburettor. It enables a slightly leaner mix setting, leads to a boost in performance, and less consumption. The scooter has better throttle response and irritating jerking in the partial load area becomes a thing of the past. The POLINI Boost Bottle is primarily suitable for large volume engines. It has a sufficiently sized chamber volume to be able to compensate for the quantity of gas that occurs. The MALOSSI Bottle is the most dynamic, as it is fitted with elastic folds which means it springs back and gives like an accordion. This is all at the expense of durability, however, since the aggressive fuel mix quickly renders it porous. As special eye-catchers we not only stock the Boost Bottles in the classic black design (Polini/Malossi), but also in aluminium, red and blue anodised versions from PM, and with chromeed surface from DOPPLER.
