If your engine has high mileage, has not been moved for a long time, is tuned or is losing fluid, it deserves having its 'cases cracked and a major service. All bearings, gaskets, oil seals, the cruciform and the primary drive should be replaced.
All gaskets necessary for this job are included in our engine gasket sets. Our standard gasket sets are RMS Classic or CENTAURO. The original PIAGGIO gasket sets usually have thicker paper based gaskets than standard gasket sets do. Additionally the O-ring gaskets are usually also included as part of the set by PIAGGIO. The sets display only minimal differences between them, according to the model of Vespa they are meant for. For example, if the carb box gasket is suitable for autolube mixing (Lusso onwards) or if the cylinder base gasket is made of paper or metal, etc. Due to the fact that you should not delay your motors overhaul, we advise that you consider ordering pattern products or the gasket set from a related model if your models set is temporarily not available.
Grease all gaskets before use. For older motors a gasket sealant paste should be used for an efficient fit.
SIP-TIP: Do not forget to order gasket sets separately for your carb, clutch and if fitted, tuning cylinder, when replacing the other engine gaskets. New oil seals and fresh gear box oil should also be included for safe and enduring use of your motor.
