An alternative to the HP4 is the PINASCO flywheel. Lighter flywheels allow the motor to rev more freely and higher and since are a very popular and also economic motor tuning option. Through lower centrifugal mass, a quicker acceleration of the motor is enabled while also releasing more power to the rear wheel. The scooters throttle response is improved, revs higher and accelerates quicker. This is all down to the reduced weight of this flywheel, and much less weight attached to the crankshaft.
This flywheel produced by PINASCO convinces with the usual high build quality we have come to expect from this brand. Its weight (1600g) puts it between the HP4 and the original PIAGGIO flywheels. The fan fins ensure adequate fresh air supply and so help prevent an overheating of the cylinder. With certain kits lacking mid-range power, this flywheel helps bridge the gap between third and fourth gear.
Conclusion: Functions excellently with original motors and all stages of tuned motor and through its low weight, improves acceleration and helps bridge the gap between third and fourth gear.
1600g, inner diameter 20/20-20/24 mm, plastic fins
SIP-TIP: Do not forget to order the suitable tools to complete this job. Screw in piston stopper (e.g. art. no. BU4931) and the flywheel remover (art. no. 93332000)
GSF user “Vantu” (about art. no. 84410000): “ This flywheel did not result in any torque loss whatsoever, quite the opposite! The tick-over is the same as the original and this part still runs well even with higher compressions.”
