Innovation in style, engineering and security. The new SIP tubeless rim, successful and reliable. This rim allows you to use tires without a tube. In case of a puncture a sudden air leak will be prevented, the air pressure will decrease slowly. Blown tires will be a thing of the past. So will valve tear offs or punctures due to tubes beeing trapped between the rims during assembly.
The SIP tubeless rim combines the advantages of a classic cast rim with a high production accuracy and quality. The design is a tubeless double hump rim. This hump prevents the tire from slipping into the rim well in case of a puncture. The rim rotation is very precise. The rim is aluminium cast and CNC machined. The surface finish is perfect. The valve is included and already mounted.
The rim is currently available in polished aluminium, black, black with polished edge and silver.
2.10-10: Perfect size for standard tires. The rim allows fitting tires from 3.00 up to 3.50-10. The rim is 2.10 inches which is the same as original. To allow for the deep inner channel in the rim for tyre fitment, Longer hub studs/ bolts are supplied with the rim.
SIP has been successfully verified by the German ministry of transport and is now officially recognized as approved vehicle component manufacturer. The SIP rim 8103 has also received official type-approval. From May 2015 on, the rims SIP 8103 got the German KBA number 50164. They managed all the necessary tests for a legal road-use on German roads. For sure, this will help also to legalize it in other countries. The chromed version comes without KBA number. There we plan no homologation yet.

Aluminium rim, painted, 10x 2.10 inch, tubeless
- acorn nuts, wrench size of 12mm (0,472 inches), and with NORD-Lock washers
- long valves. The short ones cause problems on some old english petrol stations.

SIP-TIP: keep some tire sealant in your glove box.
Attention: Please contact a qualified workshop for accurate and damage-free tyre fitting (tire tool and appropriate fitting basis highly recommended). By all means make sure to avoid any damage to the surface! A lot of tube-type (TT) tyres can also be used as tube-less (TL) tyres. When mounting the tyre, make sure to use mounting paste. If you use oil or other inappropriate lubricants, the tire won’t sit firmly on the rim. Danger! Make sure to always check clearance of engine and accessory parts!

Jockey, Jockeys Boxenstop, Germany, November 2010 : ''I've mounted these rims on fifteen different styles of the Vespa drum brake units. The wheel fits them all wonderfully, apart from the Spanish produced rear brake drum. Michelin S1 tyres could be mounted with no problem, even though our tyre mounting machine was designed for larger diameter wheels and tyres. The safety bead feature has proved very effective and successfully prevents the tyre from becoming completely unlodged in the event of any loss of air pressure. In order to prevent any unnecessary damage to these aluminium wheels we recommend that used tyres be cut off during the replacement procedure.
