This CNC machined crankcase represents an ideal basis for the extreme performance possible when these BSG parts are properly combined. A full-circle crankshaft, especially developed for this motor, is its heart. The clutch side shaft stump of this crankshaft has an extremely solid diameter of 17mm, which virtually guarantees long term stability.
To consolidate this toughness, this shaft requires the equally hard-wearing gear cogs, also produced by BSG. These have an internal diameter of 17mm, as opposed to gear cogs from all other manufacturers, with 14mm. These cogs, like other BSG products, are also made in limited production runs from a special steel alloy. They possess special threaded openings to enable quick replacement with the use of a special adapter. These cogs can be combined with all common. straight-toothed primary drive cogs such as the 24/72, 27/69 and so on, but is not compatible with SURFLEX transmissions.
Conclusion : If you already possess a BSG crankcase and crankshaft, these cogs are essential.
SIP-TIP : Do not forget to order a new primary drive from either RMS,OLYMPIA or DRT. New holding nuts, locking washers, woodruff keys, clutch friction plates and gearbox oil should also be included.
