DRT have also decided to address the subject of all the remaining diagonally cut gears out there and have taller gearing now available for small frame motor setups with a cubic capacity of between 50 and 75cc. According to the cylinder used, an increase in top-speed of up to 10km/h (6mph) is possible.
The primary drive cogs with 16 teeth fit onto scooter motors with an original cog teeth combination of either 14/69 or 15/69. Due to their exact fit in combination with the original clutch cogs you can be sure of reliable performance over a long period. Before you order a replacement cog check the size or number of teeth on the original item.
The cog with 17 teeth is an excellent supplement to the cog teeth ratio of 16/68 from the V50 Special.
The cog with 19 teeth is suitable for the original cog teeth ratio of 18/67 which was used in the VESPA 50/N/L/R/S/Special/SR/SS models.
Conclusion: DRT has taken the PINASO idea and perfected it through further development.
SIP-TIP: Do not forget to order a new gasket set for the gear box cover and brake plate. A new safety washer is also a good idea.
