MMW have reworked the MALOSSI 166cc cylinder head to deliver ideal conditions suited to each cylinder upon which it is mounted. The angle and width of the squish band along with the shape of the combustion chamber are adapted and adjusted to the requirement of each racing cylinder for which they are required. This results in a new cylinder head layout that promises more power, reduced pinking and increased reliability.
MMWs latest version of this cylinder head conversion was conceived for use with the DR 135cc racing cylinder. The higher compression that these MALOSSI 166cc conversions provide ensures a noticeably stronger motor than the original cylinder head. They are meant for use with 41mm stroke set ups and are available as a 'Sport' or 'Race' type. The MMW 'Race' includes a 1mm cylinder base spacer, to give the port timing an extra boost. The ignition should be set at 18 – 19° before TDC for both versions.

SIP-TIP : Do not forget to order a new spark plug and a set of high-end MJ 9 cylinder mounting studs! A set of carburettor jets (part no 40260000) become essential when fitting new cylinder parts
