The latest 2016 version of this pipe brings with it a 5% power increase, according to MALOSSI, when compared to its predecessor. The expansion chamber has been specially developed to suit the power characteristics of the MALOSSI 210cc 'Sport' cylinder and also the smaller capacity 166cc MK II and MK III cylinders, also produced by MALOSSI. The improvements are not only limited to the performance figures as those clever Italians have also invested time developing the sound created by this latest incarnation of the 'Power Exhaust' system. The tinny sound of the previous pipe has been replaced by a deeper tone, which also at higher revs is much more agreeable on the ears. As we have come to expect from those expert tuners at MALOSSI, the production quality is of their usual high standard. The silencer unit is fully removable, enabling simple renewal of the damping wool when necessary.

SIP-TIP : It is essential that you check and adjust the timing and the jetting prior to the use of this exhaust. If you wish to fit this pipe in combination with either the MALOSSI 139cc or 166cc cylinder kits a Dell 'Orto SI 24mm carburettor should also be fitted along with a taller overall gearing ratio. The larger capacity 200cc-220cc class of cylinders would also benefit from a larger diameter carburettor, taller gearing and a lighter flywheel type!

No artificial limit at 9000rpm as with some exhausts here! As a direct comparison : A 139cc cylinder with a 22 toothed cog and a 24mm carburettor fitted with this pipe produced a top speed 15 kph faster than when fitted with a SITO plus exhaust.”
