Racing Cylinder MALOSSI 75cc

MALOSSI, probably the best known tuning manufacturer, has joined the 75cc class. Entry into the MALOSSI universe can commence! Anyone who thinks that this is just messing about has the wrong idea. In 1996, on the 50th anniversary of the company Vespa, Malossi entrusted its technicians with modifying the existing short-stroke cylinder kits with 47/ 55/ 57.5mm. The results are impressive.

Points are scored here with 6 transfer ports, the high-quality ASSO piston, a cylinder head with an O-ring gasket, optimised head layout, and squeezing nips and area. It’s clear what the MALOSSI universe contains; uncompromising performance and quality. Should definitely be driven with a high octane petrol, and perfect jet adjustment and ignition timing is necessary for long distances at full throttle.

Conclusion: MALOSSI’s homage to the VESPA. Thanks to the high compression and the special features, somewhat sportier than the competition. If you have the right touch here, you will be rewarded with a long-lasting companion.

 

Cast iron/ 47mm bore/ 6 transfer ports/ 74.60 cc

Cast iron cylinder, stroke 43mm, 6 transfer ports, pistons with 2 piston rings, 6mm exhaust studs, original MALOSSI cylinder head with O-ring seal included in delivery, compression 12,5:1, incl. gasket kit. Jets should be adjusted. Fits on all Vespa 50/PK/XL/XL2 models, except PK automatic. Transfer ports as original, casing must not be modified to match.

 

SIP-TIP: Adjusting the main jetz and a new spark plug is a must. Transmission recommended here is at least a 3.72 primary. Ideal with 16/ 16 carburettor, original exhaust with a fat manifold or the SITO Banana. After a little work on the cylinder, it is entirely possible to use a 19/ 19 carburettor in combination with a racing exhaust! Use the standard M7x35mm cylinder studs (SIP code 48000000)!
