This PINASCO reed-valve manifold system has been specifically designed for use with the all-new performance orientated 'Slave' crankcases, also produced by PINASCO. The large reed-valve block itself is positioned almost centrally over the con-rod, between the crankshaft webs. The longer inlet channel, as opposed to conventionally carburetted motors, improves throttle response while shifting the power band and also provides more torque. The increase in diameter accelerates the supply of fresh fuel-mix with the improved gas- flow aerodynamics facilitating more density. This reed-valve manifold kit includes reed-petals, connection rubber and all necessary fixings. This reed-valve assembly is also included as part the delivery when ordering the 'Slave' motor-block, also produced by PINASCO.
The PINASCO 'Slave' compatible four-petal reed-valve kit corresponds in size to the manifold found on the YAMAHA RD 350 motor and also has a suitable manifold stuffer included in the delivery. With light modification all RD 350 reed-petals can also be fitted into this reed-block.
The manifolds connection to the carburettor consists of a connection rubber and base-plate, which is constructed to be 360° rotatable to enable even the largest carburettor to be satisfactorily positioned under cramped conditions. The manifolds connection rubber is held in position by tightening the fixing bolts that hold the base-plate to the motor, making repair cheaper should the connection rubber fail.
Conclusion : A lot of high-tech manifold for relatively little money. The absolute first choice for reed-valve tuning in combination with the PINASCO 'Slave' motor cases.
SIP-TIP : Do not forget to order a suitable carburettor (i.e. PHBH 28/30mm, VHS 24-30mm, TMX 27/30mm, PWK 28/30mm) and a performance air filter!
