Max QUATTRINI has also decided to take on production of an enhanced version of the motor casings for smallframe Vespa models, so satisfying the needs of those who would like to assemble a truly high-end motor.
The motor casings are provided with a closed reed-valve inlet that must first be cut open in case of possible use. Cylinders already equipped with manifolds do not require the case opening to be sealed shut. The crankcase itself has an internal width of 48mm and therefore ideal for use with the QUATTRINI crankshaft, with its combined web width of 47mm. The crankcase diameter is 84.5mm throughout and has a central groove enabling the use of 87mm con-rods. The bearing housings allow the fitting of 52x20x15mm bearings. The diameter of the cylinder opening is also noticeably larger with 65mm as opposed to the original 62mm. The design of the engine pivot provides sufficient clearance to allow largeframe 3.50-10” tyres to be fitted. The mounting of a water pump on the primary side is now also possible with this casing along with the 'plug+play' use of the QUATTRINI race exhaust system. The QUATTRINI logo, embossed into the flywheel side casing half, proudly displays the engines high-end sporting origins. This motor casing is designed for use with the special wide web QUATTRINI crankshaft with the 51mm stroke con-rod. As far as the cylinder size is concerned, any suitable kit from 125cc upwards can be used, ideally of course, the QUATTRINI M1L-60-12.

SIP-TIP : For the most ideal set-up the QUATTRINI crankshaft with fresh oil seals and bearings are mandatory. To round it all off perfectly it can then be combined with the explosive power delivery of the QUATTRINI M1L-60-12 cylinder. For safe and enduring use of your motor do not forget to order new gaskets, suspension bushes, woodruff keys, nuts, safety washers and fresh gearbox oil!
