Standard exhaust systems are not only suitable for original motor setups but also mildly tuned road going scooters with their true plug and play qualities. They are not meant for maximum power setups or to achieve a higher revving motor but can be relied upon to deliver an enduring performance, maximum ground clearance for cornering even when two-up, high mpg and a constant performance. For those who want the unobtrusiveness of the original systems, but with a little extra performance potential, should consider the ROAD series of exhaust systems.
The PX 125/150cc exhaust units fit all 125 to 150cc large frame VESPAs since the VNA/VNB/VBA/VBB frame numbered models, produced since 1957. If you wish to update your older model VESPAs exhaust it is advisable to consult and/or inform your insurance company and/or vehicle inspector responsible for your scooters legality as this more modern exhaust system also enhances and increases the performance and power output of your motor. If for any reason you wish to register your VESPA in Germany there is a possibility to enable scooter riders as young as 16 years old to ride 125cc scooters (as opposed to 80cc). The 125cc exhaust system can be supplied modified and certified to restrict the 125cc motor to a top-speed of 50 mph (80 km/h). The certification is included for the subsequent vehicle inspection by the German TÜV/DEKRA. The PX 200 exhaust unit can be fitted to the VESPA GS 160, SS 180 and the RALLY 180 models with use of the exhaust stub manifolds (also available at SIP Scootershop Art.-Nr.13014380) and leads to a noticeable increase in overall motor performance.
Conclusion: Perfect for complete rebuilds and also minor overhauls. Suitable for minor road tuning projects.

These exhausts allow the continued use of both main-stand and the carrying of a spare-wheel. Wider section tyres are also possible.
