This small frame lefthand exit expansion chamber system is produced by JL Exhausts. It was conceived and developed by Tino Sacchi to perfectly complement the requirements demanded of an expansion chamber system by the QUATTRINI M1 performance cylinder kit. It is also suitable for similarly styled cylinder kits such as the POLINI 133cc, MALOSSI 166cc and the PARMAKIT conversion. This is where the skills of a certain mister Jim Lomas come into play and does not disappoint with a wide power band delivery, lots of torque and a noticeable increase in performance. The sound is comfortably low and bassy. The stainless steel manifold is connected to the cylinder with springs to enable flexibility, so avoiding unnecessary strain and damage to the exhaust system. The exhaust fits both PV and PK VESPA models, the body of the exhaust is painted with black, heat resistant paint. With the high quality of these hand welded systems, it is hardly any wonder, that they are supplied with a lifetime guarantee to the original purchaser for repair or replacement should they fail at all due to normal everyday use. (curb grinding or similar excepted)

 

Conclusion: Perfect for the longer journeys, but also urban racing :-). A successful combination of British and Italian two-stroke tuning know-how.

Carburettor jetting and ignition timing should be checked and/or adjusted for reliable and enduring use of this exhaust system.

 

SIP-TIP: This pipe is perfect for the high-end small frame motor tuning cylinder kits, but especially the QUATTRINI M1. Combined with the suitable periphery such as a HPC crankshaft, a decent quality reed valve kit and a modern ignition system provided by PARMAKIT or QUATTRINI there will be no stopping you and your small frame VESPA.
