If you enhance the performance of a largeframe with tuning measures the original carburettor is not powerful enough to supply the engine with sufficient mix. The only thing that can help here is a bigger carburettor with a corresponding intake manifold. We therefore stock intake manifolds for disc valves with which the original DELL’ORTO SI can be replaced by a more powerful tuning carburettor. The disc valve engine can therefore be fitted with a carburettor with an outlet of up to 30mm (without conversion to reed valve).

 

The POLINI intake manifold has an outlet of 30mm and convinces thanks to its high quality and precisely fitting processing.

 

The MALOSSI disc valve intake manifold is available with an outlet of 28mm. It seals the oil pump hole in the engine housing. This makes it your first choice if a bigger carburettor is to be fitted to a more recent (Lusso-) engine.

 

We also stock a Scoot RS intake manifold for disc valves. This is primarily popular because the carburettor can be fitted to the housing in a relatively vertical position without any modifications. This is important so that the carburettor floater can work accurately.

 

MMW goes the extra mile and in addition to an intake manifold with 30mm, also offers a manifold with a 35mm outlet. With its superb design, its gentle curves guarantee a good flow-through and thanks to the rotatable top part, it is possible to position the carburettor optimally in the chassis. The CNC milled base plate of the MMW intake manifold has a side extension which safely seals the oil pump hole on Lusso engines. The connection piece that is made from stainless steel is fitted with a groove which ensures the safe positioning of the connection rubber.

 

We also go flat out in the SERIE PRO range and in addition to the classic 30mm disc valve intake manifold from tuning experts MRP, we also offer a version with a 36mm outlet. The connection piece on the aluminium plate can be turned by 15°. This means the carburettor can be positioned optimally between the engine and frame. No spacer is required and the frame does not need to be modified! The scope of supply includes the stainless steel connecting piece and a CNC milled aluminium plate as well as all of the screws required for attachment to the crankcase (incl. M7).

Conclusion: Together with the right sized carburettor, enables you to get the most out of a disc valve engine.

 

SIP-TIP: LUSSO drivers - heads up! When fitting the POLINI intake manifold be sure to order the SERIE PRO sealing cap (art no 78220000) for sealing the oil pump hole. A spacer-plate intake manifold (e.g. part no 22158600) helps with the optimal positioning of the carburettor.
