Most maintenance on the motor of your Vespa requires the use of special tools and adapters. Without their use a quick and professional service without permanently damaging engine components is virtually impossible. Regrettably, many of these exclusively Vespa devices are no longer in production or indeed available, apart from a few parts of dubious quality and origin.

The SIP assembly tool output shaft/crankshaft enables you to pull the shaft in milimeter by milimeter. No more ruined threads. This item is ideal for use on the wheel hub of earlier Vespa models. Since the tool rests on the bearing inner ring, the shafts can be mounted without putting load on the bearings. This tool comes with 5 adaptors for the input, output and crankshafts. They are also available separately in a kit:
M10x1,50 Mounting front axle V50/PV/ET3, PK50/S/XL (I), left-hand thread
M10x1,50 Mounting Crankshaft (flywheel side) V50/PK 19mm cone, right-hand thread
