The ignition lock with 10 electrical poles, originally found on the Vespa GS 160 2°, can also be used with its predecessor models. The individual key positions have the following functions :
Position 1 : Turned completely anti-clockwise : Parking lights & rear light & horn / battery power / key is arrested.
Position 0 : Key can be inserted / key can be arrested / only position allowing both insertion and removal of the key / no electrical function.
Position 2 : First clockwise position, ignition on.
Position 3 : Second clockwise position, main lights on, power is supplied by the battery.
Position 4 : Third clockwise position, main lights on, power is supplied by the stator plate.
The 'Eco-Switch' is identical in design to the item produced by SIEM. The only difference being that the key cannot be arrested in the '0' position and the key can also be removed in position '1'.
