H²O - Liquid Cooled. A magic word in the air cooled Vespa scene. QUATTRINI has broken free from the pack with it's water cooled 2010 cylinder revolution for all their fans bored of AC.
The new M1A Cylinder Kit is a further mile stone in small frame cylinder development - the first H²O aluminum cylinder with direct intake developed exclusively for Vespa smallframes. This kit promises a further upgrade to the already successful air cooled QUATTRINI cylinder line. Their high quality complete product line make them a show case of success. 5 transfers and a huge reed valve intake dependably stoke up the QUATTRINI cylinder. Features, such as the additional Boysen ports (auxiliary intakes direct to the transfer) and of course, an extra large 4-petal reed valve. And in the same vein, the enlarged exhaust outlet with 2 generous auxiliary ports, a centered cylinder head with a centred spark plug, as well as a brand name Italian piston with high quality 1 mm piston ring. All QUATTRINI cylinders are very high quality workmanship and have a one of a kind finish. QUATTRINI is known for race technology and convincing quality. The crankcase will need modification, but in the first stage of modification will not need welding.
The QUATTRINI manifold is constructed for Vespa V50/ PV/ ET3 models, when used in Vespa PK models the frame opening will need additional modification. Exhaust stud distance is 57 mm, racing exhaust layout will need minimal enlargement.

Aluminum cylinder, H²O/ water cooled, 51 mm stroke/ each side 2 large bridged auxiliary transfers, direct intake with additional Boysen ports, 4 reed valve with additional divider, manifold with integrated stuffer, pistons with a high quality 1.0 mm piston ring, exhaust with 2 additional auxiliary ports, 8 mm exhaust studs, centered cylinder head with semipherical milled combustion chamber, long threaded spark plug, includes gasket set and cover for crankcase intake (2 holes only).
Motor periphery should be matched to the increased performance and jets should be adjusted. Fits all Vespa PV/ET3/PK/XL/XL2 models, excepting the PK automatic. The crankcase should be modified to fit the larger cylinder transfers.
SIP TIP: A race kit of this high standard needs crankcase modification, a suitable exhaust system and carburetor. VSP Race, FRANZ, electronic ignition such as VESPATRONIC or PARMAKIT, carburetor size from 28 mm on up and Tassinari VForce reed valve Art.-Nr. 27428000. For Race, QUATTRINI reccomends a 3.00 primary. A longer primary with DRT gear wheels offer additional optimal variation possibilities. Don't forget water pump, water hose and temp indicator!
