Racing Cylinder POLINI 115cc

for Vespa 50/PK50/S/XL/XL2,

"Up, up and away", POLINI's done it again! 112cc stands for 115% fun; and it´s also made its name as a 115cc cylinder. In the capacity top class, POLINI stands at the top of the class.

In contrast to 102cc cylinders, compression is pushed higher and hits a proud 12.2:1. The highest octane petrols is a must. POLINI hands out 9.8 PS at 8200 rpm's. Max performance even when staying under 10.000 rpm's! The same goes here: clean ignition and carburetor tuning guarantees punch and power for 'round town trips. The original transmission should be replaced with a longer primary. To increase heat dispersion, we recommend painting the surface black. A matt black surface radiates heat at a much higher intensity than a light or polished surface.

Conclusion: best for town use, sprint cylinder, high performance in lower speed ranges. Max capacity for the below 125cc class. If you dream of drag racing with a Porsche or a vacation in Italy, you should move on up to the 130er class.

 

Cast Iron / 57.5 Bore / 6 Transfers / 111.66cc

Cast iron cylinder, stroke 43mm, 6 transpers, divided in each 2 side transfers and a big divided boostport, piston with 2 piston rings, 6mm exhaust studs, original POLINI cylinder head included in delivery, compression 12.2:1, incl. gasket set. Fits all Vespa 50/PK/XL/XL2 models, except PK automatic. Motor casing should be adapted to fit the larger transfer ports.

 

SIP-TIP! 3.00 to 2.86 transmission, reinforced clutch or PK-XLX clutch is a must, racing shaft and carburettor size 19 - 24mm recommended. A must have is the SITO Banana, better, the POLINI racing exhaust. A HP4 or a Vespatronic wouldn't be bad either.
