Racing Cylinder POLINI 102cc

for Vespa 50/PK50/S/XL/XL2,

POLINI offers you something in every class! The philosophy is to provide high-quality, high-performance cylinders, combined with brandname pistons at an attractive price.

POLINI also provides torque from low down – making it an ideal partner for the city. Anyone who still wants more is advised to modify the exhaust port a bit, which is easy to do yourself thanks to Dremel and Co.! The compression is a powerful 11.2:1; it is recommended to use a high octane petrol. Here too, accurate tuning of the ignition and carburettor guarantee high-air-flow fun for short distances. The original transmission should be replaced by a longer primary drive. For better dissipation of heat we recommend painting the cooling fins black.

Conclusion: Powerful cylinders for the city, strong torque for 2-person use. For long distances or longer stretches at full throttle it is better to use the PINASCO.

 

Cast iron/ 55mm bore/ 6 transfer ports/ 102.16ccm

Cast iron cylinder, stroke 43mm, 6 transfer ports, consisting of 2 side transfer ports and a big boost port divided into two, pistons with 2 piston rings, 6mm exhaust studs, original POLINI cylinder head is included in delivery, compression 11.2:1, incl. gasket set.

Fits all Vespa 50/PK/XL/XL2 models, except PK automatic. The crankdases should be matched to the larger cylinder transfer ports.

 

SIP-TiP: Adapt the main jet and install a new spark plug, of course. A change of transmission is a must here, at least a 3.00 primary, at most a 2.86, reinforced clutch and/or stronger springs. Racing shaft and carburettor size from 19/ 20mm recommended. A 24 carburettor with intake manifolds would also be good. A SITO Banana is definitely a real must-have, the cylinder runs best with the appropriate POLINI racing exhaust
