The third in the pack, the PINASCO 85cc cylinder, fits seamlessly into the range of the more successful 85cc tuning cylinders.
More powerful than the DR, yet not as revvy as the POLINI counterpart, the maximum power output of 6.2 PS (5KW) is reached at 5800 rpm so creating a higher torque for better acceleration and a higher top speed. This cylinder has proved itself as an ideal and reliable partner for both the town and the occasional short trip to the next one... Satisfaction is guaranteed with the usual high quality of production and finish that we have come to expect from the house of PINASCO. As with all other 85cc tuning cylinders, the gearing ratios, the jetting of the carburettor and the ignition timing should be adjusted to suit.
Conclusion: Fun to ride in both the urban and countryside environments. Riding up hills when two-up with luggage no longer presents a problem.

Cast iron cylinder, 43mm stroke, 6 transfer ports, piston with 2 piston rings, 1 L-section piston ring, 1 square section piston ring, M6 exhaust studs, includes original PINASCO cylinder head and gasket set. Carb. jetting should be adjusted. This kit fits all VESPA 50/PK/XL/XL2 models, except PK50 automatic. The transfer match the originals, casing must not be modified.
SIP-TIP: Adjusting the main jet and a new spark plug is a must. Altering the transmission is a must here, min. a 3.72 primary, max. 3.00. The engine can be made even sportier with 16/16 carburettor, original exhaust with a wider manifold or the SITO Banana.
