The 6 transfer ports provide a clean purge, and ASSO as the piston supplier score points here as well. PINASCO’s nicasil lining and the high quality of the well-known cylinder foundry GILARDONI round off the picture. Thermally less sensitive than anything else available in this category.
Our additional recommendation is to spray the cylinder itself with black thermolac. A matt-black surface gives off heat more intensively than a bright surface or a polished one. The PINASCO is certainly suitable for long distances and ideal for 2-person use. Somewhat more down-to-earth than POLINI and MALOSSI as far as power is concerned, but provides long service life.
Conclusion: Our touring recommendation for the "from 100 cc category". Flawless finish, high-quality aluminium cylinder and the only one that you can ride for long distances and/or long stretches at full throttle. The right ignition and carburettor settings are a must. The primary drive should always be adjusted.

Aluminium cylinder, stroke 43mm, 6 transfer ports, consisting of 2 side transfer ports on each side and a boost port divided into two, pistons with 2 piston rings and plane piston head, 6mm exhaust studs, original PINASCO cylinder head included in delivery, incl. gasket set. Jets should be adjusted.
Fits all Vespa 50/PK/XL/XL2 models, except PK automatic. Transfer ports match the originals, engine case can but does not have to be modified.
SIP-TiP: Adjust the main jet and install new spark plug, of course. Changing the transmission is a must here, min. a 3.00 primary, max. 2.86 with reinforced clutch and/or stronger springs. Racing crankshaft and carburettor size from 16/ 16 recommended, preferably a 19 carburettor with intake manifold. You can easily make the cylinder happy with an original exhaust with a wider manifold or the SITO Banana
